On Armies
At the heart of the hobby is the collecting and painting of models. As you will see from these pages, I have more than my fair share of models! Some, like my partner, would say that I have more than enough. Sadly those who are cursed with such an addiction know that there is no such thing as enough!
Imperial to the Core
I guess I have always been a fan of the imperial forces. I suspect that it is because I can relate to the realm of man. That being said, I have never had an overwhelming favor of Space Marines, preferring to play the less imposing forces of the Imperial Guard.
With the advent of Codex Daemonhunters, my Imperial Guard made a comeback as an allied force to my new Inquisitor, Edmond Dantez. Codex Witch Hunters added the Battle Sisters to the mix.
Adeptus Astartes
The universe of the 41st Millennium would not be the same without the presence of some Space Marines of the Adeptus Astartes. By lucky chance I ended up settling on the Dark Angels as my first chapter. As I began delving into the history of the chapter, I found that I really enjoyed the back story, and could relate to the tortured past and secretive nature of the chapter. The 5th Company became the starting point for them, and has slowly grown over the years.
My second choice was Black Templar's, as featured in Codex Armageddon. The crusading nature lent itself to an irregular sized force of Marines, charging grimly to do the emperors bidding.
Xenos!
Frustrated with having my head handed to me on a regular basis, I turned to the Eldar of Saim-Hann to save me! I used to play mostly the Swordwind of Biel-Tan, due to me liking all the cool aspect warriors, painted in lovely red and white!
Necrons were added, their silent menace a fitting foil to the flesh and bone of the mortals. Gold and blue were the colours chosen for this horde, and soon adorned the gaming table.
Tyranids are next, as I begin to build up Hive Fleet Morgoth. Look for more as this force is developed.
